As a couple of folks guessed, the new hotel that will be flaunting this uniform at its concierge desk is the new NYC Wyndham, Fashion 26, scheduled to open March 15. To get a taste of how the uniform process works, HotelChatter went through a fitting with Top Hat Imagewear, designers and outfitters for hundreds of hotels around the world.

Apparently celebrities have jumped the shark. This, according to celebrity designer Marc Jacobs, who has been bragging about how he doesn’t want any boldfaced names at his runway show this year. It’s funny then, that he would choose to have his after-party at a hotel club like the Boom Boom Room, um QT… er, Bon Bon? atop The Standard.

Let’s talk room service, shall we? The story of a former assemblyman and senator from the Bronx who doctored his receipt for a bagel and diet soda on his expense report has had the New York media in a tizzy. The total was $177. Sounds nuts, but if you’ve ever been stung by an overinflated room-service bill for a bagel and a cup of coffee, you know this figure does not necessarily belong in fairy land.
This New York Times story on the varying costs of the bagel found at least two Manhattan hotels that charge over 20 bucks. Which got us thinking: We all know
