The HotelChatter Diva Tracker: Mariah, Beyonce and Madge

Mariah arrives at the Dorchester.

If you were a pop-star diva a la Madonna and could, ostensibly, spend nights in any hotel in the whole entire world, where would you go? The Seasons? The Ritz? We’d guess old-school, Sean-Penn-era Madge would probably hit up The Standard NYC with all its public sexytime craziness — and, oh, wait, this just in: rumor has it she’s there right now.

The Stan D’Arde Twitter spread some hot goss on the Internet this morning: “Madonna is @StandardNY. Shhhhhhh.” Yes, yes. We’ll be quiet about it when we’re skulking around the High Line this evening.

Irving: The Newest NYLO is Gonna Be a Bit Greener

We were surprised when we heard the Dallas suburbs were getting another NYLO before anyone else, but we’re also surprised (in a good way) to hear that the NYLO Dallas/Las Colinas (yes, that’s the clumsy official name) is not only about to open, but is also going to be really green.

NYLO has signed a deal with TXU Energy which makes it the first hotel in the area to purchase 100% of their electricity from a certified renewable energy source. They’ve also been green during the building process: they used construction techniques which “reduced the need for excessive materials” (we hope they still used enough, though) and they’ve installed hi-tech electrical and plumbing systems which are

When we hear announcements that luxe hotels are launching ritzier, more upscale amenities or properties in this recession, we cringe a bit because we’ve been hearing nothing but doom-and-gloom predictions and sad news out of the luxury sector — but, nevertheless, Ritz-Carlton Hotels has announced the launch of “a new exclusive brand extension for the most discerning global travelers” called Ritz-Carlton Reserve, complete with a website and everything.

Per a press release:

These unique resorts have been designed for those who seek to escape the stresses of everyday life by retreating to experience new cultures and adventures. Each exquisite destination will feature signature, one-of-a-kind low density resorts situated in choice

London: Skip the Minibar, Hit the Bar Late at the InterContinental Park Lane

You know when you’ve been out late somewhere, and you get back to your hotel wanting one more before you go to bed, but you don’t want it to come from a minibar because it’s way too expensive (and also a bit depressing)?

The Intercontinental Park Lane hears you. Its bar used to be open till one a.m. on weekdays and midnight on Sundays, and although we have some extremely happy memories of drinking there with the Miami Dolphins when they were in town, it was a bit too hotel lobby-like to have a proper atmosphere.

So we were intrigued to hear today that on Tuesday, the hotel will open what it calls its Late Lounge.

When we stayed at AQUA Cancun right after its reopening last year (it was formerly Fiesta Americana Grand Aqua), we scored an Aqua Club room upgrade on the fifth floor. Our entertaining ready room came equipped with a private oceanfront patio, living room, a freestanding circular Jacuzzi tub, a spa-worthy bathroom with locally made soaps, and access to the (drum roll, please!) Club Lounge.

Private check-in and dedicated concierge made us feel more Tori Spelling than Joe Average tourist. An endless stream of adult beverages, five food and beverage servings throughout the day, including continental breakfast and a lovely hors d’oeuvre spread timed right around sunset/happy hour kept us happily sated. A styled out entertainment

Chicago: The Hard Rock Chicago Will Let You Blame It On the Goose

If you’re gonna hit the Hard Rock Chicago, there are two ways you could do it up: either you could stay there and keep it classy-like, all strictly business — or you could down some Goose and do whatever you like and blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.

The hotel’s got two packages to satisfy either one of those whims. Starting at $199, you can get yourself one night at the hotel, free WiFi, early check-in and late check-out and cocktail down at the Base Bar for when you’re ready to unwind after the long workday.

Yeah, yeah. Kinda blah-dee-blah, but you’ve gotta earn some dollas so you can spend the next night enjoying the Night Owl

New York: The Cooper Square Panty Girl Has Nothin’ on Standard NYC Guests

Haha. Some fun news to end your day with (er, or maybe not that fun, depending on how you look at it): apparently New Yorkers are getting some pretty explicit views of the sexytime going on at the Standard NYC. The High line just opened, and there are puh-lenty of people bouncing around the Standard’s ‘hood looking around with their eyes wide open — and they are seeing puh-lenty of what’s going on inside the rooms at the Standard. Which also involves, er, bouncing around.

New York Magazine reports:

Our Tim Murphy found a visitor to the High Line who spotted a naked hotel guest midway up the hotel, and there’s even some evidence of
